Devastator players in Outriders Worldslayer can use the new Pax trees to one-shot most bosses in the game with this Earthquake combo build.
The Devastator class stays true to its name with the addition of Pax trees in the Outriders Worldslayer expansion, as it can melt most bosses in the game with just three casts of Earthquake with this build. Originally released in April of 2021, Outriders is an online Co-op third-person looter shooter that pits up to three players against strange enemies in an apocalyptic sci-fi universe. The game currently offers players four customizable classes to choose from that have become even more complex with the introduction of Pax trees in the Worldslayer expansion.
The release of Outriders Worldslayer brought players many new additions to the game besides Pax trees, such as a new Ascension system that allows character progression beyond the level cap of 30. Additionally, a new rarity tier, Apocalypse gear, has been introduced, giving players even more customization options for their builds as this gear provides them with a third mod slot. Last but not least, the expansion also introduced the long-awaited Transmog system that gives players the option to change the appearance of their weapons and armor.

The Devastator class in Outriders is one of the four present in the game and mainly fulfills the role of a tank, as it is the best at soaking damage. Tricksters, on the other hand, are damage dealers that excel at avoiding damage by using their high mobility to employ hit-and-run tactics. Technomancers prefer to keep their range while using gadgets and turrets to do their work for them, and Pyromancers are fire-dealing mages that usually rely on skill usage to incinerate their foes. Using these new skill trees, Youtuber NickTew exemplifies how a Devastator can deal massive damage with Earthquake while remaining virtually invincible with this build.
This Devastator build is extremely powerful due to the amount of damage it can dish out and because it makes the character nearly invincible due to Earthen Shell. However, the most important thing players will need to make this Outriders Worldslayer build work is the three-piece set bonus from the Seismic Commander set and the Second Quake and Extra Quake mods. These will allow players to quickly cast Earthquake three times in a row, which due to the Multistrike Pax tree node and other synergies, will destroy any boss in the game in one combo.
Although Earthquake is the only essential skill for this build, these can be extremely useful to set up the combo as they activate many synergies:

The most basic mods that players will benefit from are those that increase the damage of Earthquake as well as Mage’s Rage, which is essential for any Anomaly Power-based build. After that, players can use mods that increase their damage based on percentages to maximize the numbers on the combo. An effective way to do this is through mods that increase damage when enemies suffer from status effects, such as Bullet Kindling, Euthaniser, and Virulent Compound. Players can then benefit from these by using weapons that apply burning or toxic and should strive to swap between them to apply both effects when fighting bosses in Outriders Worldslayer before using the Earthquake combo.
